ABOUT US

"ONE OF THE BEST AL FRESCO DINING RESTAURANTS IN AMERICA" – OpenTable

 TOUCHES ON ALL THE SENSES.

At ELA'S, the taste and aroma of the food, the views of the water and sunsets, the sound of the music, and the gentle island breeze combine for the best dining experience on Hilton Head Island.

DINING, COCKTAILS, AND SPECIAL EVENTS.

The sophisticated atmosphere at ELA'S takes island dining to new levels – three of them, in fact. ELA'S offers diverse experiences, from high-top, walk-in dining in the lively bar and romantic dinners on the garden patio to ideal spaces for special events, such as receptions, anniversaries, cocktail parties, and private dinner parties. And every table has a water view.

FRESH CATCH SEAFOOD AND LOCAL MARKET SELECTIONS.

With a passion for providing noteworthy cuisine, the culinary team hand selects daily only the freshest catch seafood, prime cut steaks, and farm to table produce for use in the dishes they evoke and create for Sunday brunch and daily dinner. Need something even more special? Ask about bespoke menus for holidays, seasonal celebrations, and Island events.

ALL IN THE FAMILY.

ELA'S and its sister Lowcountry restaurants, The Pearl Kitchen & Bar in Bluffton and Roadhouse Ribs near Beaufort, and the most recent north end newcomer, Celeste, are family-owned and operated. All four were developed by Earl "The Pearl" Nightingale, who has revitalized hotels and restaurants across the US and offers expertise to others through H2R2 Solutions.

ELA'S name comes from the initials of Earl's three children: Erin, Lauren, and Alexander. Erin Wasem, an interior designer for SEASONS in Village at Wexford and H2R2 Marketing Director, created ELA'S contemporary ambiance, as well as the unique looks of the Pearl, Roadhouse Ribs, and Celeste. Her musician husband, John Wasem, performs, books music, and selects wine for all four restaurants. And Alexander (Alex) Nightingale owns and manages the Pearl and assists Earl in general management of the quad of restaurants. The artwork gracing the interior is from family friend and late, local artist, Peter Karis.
